✨ What an empowering night it was at “From a King’s Heart: A Night of Necessary Dialogue”! ✨

Joined by my fellow black queens, we dived into the essence of support and its profound impact on the overall wellness of our black kings. The conversations were filled with heartfelt discussions, vulnerability, and a genuine desire to uplift and empower one another. Here’s a recap of the diverse responses we received to the question, “What is Support?” and the empowering lessons I learned:

 

💪 Time to Work or Complete Tasks: True support means giving our black kings the time and assistance they need to accomplish tasks, fostering teamwork and collaboration to build a stronger community together.

 

🌿 Quiet Time and Space When Needed: We recognized the significance of providing our black kings with quiet time and space for reflection and self-care, allowing them to recharge and nurture their mental well-being.

 

🔍 Doing Everything I Can’t Do Behind the Scenes or When I’m Away: Genuine support extends beyond what’s visible. It means standing by our black kings, being their support system even when we can’t physically be there, knowing they have someone who’s got their back.

 

🤝 Being a Ride or Die: True support means unwavering loyalty, standing side by side with our black kings through challenges and triumphs, and showing them they can always count on us.

 

💞 Meeting Needs and Being There for Them: We learned the significance of being attentive to our black kings’ needs, offering a helping hand, or simply being a listening ear whenever they need it most.

 

🌟 Willingness to Try, Uplift, Encourage, and Push Me: We realized the importance of being their cheerleader, encouraging our black kings to grow, uplifting their spirits, and pushing them to be the best versions of themselves.

 

🤗 Keeping on Point and Honoring Each Other: Support means helping our black kings stay focused on their goals and aspirations, respecting their individuality, and honoring the kings within them.

 

🌈 Understanding the Needs and Offering Emotional Support: We emphasized the significance of understanding our black kings’ emotional needs, creating a safe space for them to express their vulnerabilities, and offering emotional support during trying times.

 

💖 Emotional Support and Kind Words: We discovered that support extends to offering genuine emotional care, speaking kind and uplifting words that can make a tremendous difference in their overall well-being.

 

The night left me with a renewed commitment to championing the mental wellness of our black kings, celebrating their strength and resilience, and empowering them to shine as the powerful kings they are within.
